February Baby Sweater

Wow, I am finally posting about a finished knitting project! This is the February Baby Sweater from Elizabeth Zimmerman's book Knitters Almanac. I have actually knit this same sweater in an adult size for myself, and all that one needs is to sew a couple of seams, weave in the ends and sew on the buttons and then I can show it too. I've decided that I am really a process knitter: I love the knitting, and I'm so-so about the actual finished product. Guess that's why I like to knit for babies, the projects are faster to knit, limited finishing and SO CUTE when done!
Check out these cute little lion buttons! I explained to my niece (who is expecting baby Maia in early Sept) that they are 'vintage', since they are from my button stash of kiddie buttons that I have from when I sewed/knit for my kids, who are now in their twenties!
